We’re a fast-growing pickup company and YouTube channel, and we’re building a team to take us to the next level. Right now we’re looking to fill two intern roles that will turn into full time positions: a video editor and a filming assistant.

Three Initial Criteria:

  1. You must be able to stay for up to 6 months in both the USA and Canada with a travel visa. We will be staying in Los Angeles until July 1st, 2016 and then in Toronto until January 1st, 2017.
  2. This is an unpaid internship that could turn into a long-term, paid position with lots of room for growth. There is an initial 6-month trial period, in which you must prove yourself. If everything goes well, you should be prepared to work with us past this initial trial period.
  3. You should have enough money to cover travel costs, rent, food, and other miscellaneous expenses. A stipend to cover a portion of your living expenses may be offered based on our ability.

Video Editor

This is an opportunity for you to take your creative editing skills to a whole new dimension. At Honest Signalz we spend so much time on video editing that we can’t film the videos we want to put out! So recruiting a solid video editor is something we’ve wanted to do for a long time now. This will enable us to focus more on content creation with you at the helm to fulfill the desires of our fans.

Criteria:

  • 21 years old or older
  • Ability to stay in LA for 3 months and Toronto for 3 months in 2016
  • Excellent English communication
  • Extensive experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop (preferably 3+ years)
  • Comfortable shooting with cameras
  • Interest in pickup and self-development with a decent grasp of pickup theory
  • Must be positive, resourceful and have great sense of humor that aligns with ours (this is important because it will help you identify the footage that has entertainment value as well as enable you to shape videos in an entertaining way)
  • Ability to follow creative direction in an cooperative, ego-free way
  • Familiarity with the unique style of our YouTube videos
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, and work on multiple projects simultaneously with great efficiency and attention to detail.

 

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience with Adobe After Effects, Audition, Illustrator
  • Experience with videography
  • Experience with audio engineering (denoising, improving sound quality)
  • Experience with color grading to create videos that have the best possible impact
  • Well-informed about developments in the pickup community (e.g. companies, fb groups, forums)

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Edit creative videos for YouTube that blow the socks off our fans
  • Edit exclusive videos for products and subscriptions
  • Plan and perform post-production tasks, including: transferring footage, reviewing footage, video labeling and tagging, rough cuts, audio adjustment, building the flow, producing videos, and uploading to YouTube.
  • Organize and catalog uncut footage
  • Film themed videos and natural pickup videos
  • Absorb creative direction while bringing unique ideas to the table
  • Give and receive constructive feedback so that we can create the best videos possible
  • Create YouTube thumbnails
  • Create images for facebook and instagram

What You Can Expect:
This will be hard work. We will extensively train you on the basic structure of our videos and how we create them. You will essentially be shaping the content of Honest Signalz and will be given much creative input into the videos we produce.

You may be asked to assist in filming during themed videos and hidden-camera natural pickup situations. We will train you in this area as well.

Filming Assistant

Filming entertaining videos and raw pickup footage is integral to Honest Signalz, so we’re looking to recruit a dedicated filmer to get capture us in action in all situations: day game, night game, dates. This will enable us to focus more on talking to girls and less about whether or not the filmer is getting a good shot. Amongst other things, you’ll be watching and listening in on all our interactions which will be an invaluable learning tool and hilarious experience for you.

Criteria:

  • 21 years old or older
  • Ability to stay in LA for 3 months and Toronto for 3 months in 2016
  • Excellent English communication
  • Decent knowledge of pickup theory
  • Interest in pickup and self-development
  • Must be positive, resourceful, and motivated. Good sense of humour while not absolutely critical is a big plus.
  • Ability to follow direction in an cooperative, ego-free way
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, and work on multiple tasks simultaneously with great efficiency and attention to detail.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience with videography or photography
  • Experience with filming infield pickup
  • Experience with premiere pro and photoshop
  • Experience with marketing
  • Knowledge of the YouTube scene (e.g. follow a lot of YouTube channels both pickup and non-pickup related)
  • Well-informed about developments in the pickup community (e.g. companies, fb groups, forums)

What You’ll Do:

  • Film entertaining videos
  • Film hidden-camera raw pickup videos
  • Film live programs (bootcamps, week-long programs, seminars)

  • Various supplementary business tasks

What You Can Expect:
This will be hard work. You will do things you’ve never done before and your comfort zone will be expanded. You will become an expert at filming, and in doing so become more grounded by dealing with the challenges that filming with a hidden-camera provides. You do NOT have to have camera experience to apply; we will train you how to film.

You will learn game much more quickly and cultivate a deep understanding by constantly being exposed to the beliefs we have and seeing and hearing our pickups in real life.
